Flu Vaccination Information
On July 31, the President of the University of California signed an executive order that all UC students, faculty and staff on campus are required to receive the influenza vaccine by November 1st.

Flu vaccinations are covered at no cost for all UC health insurance plans. You can get the vaccine through your healthcare provider, many pharmacies, public health departments, or campus flu shot clinics. In some cases your health plan will cover the cost directly (for example Health Net members can get no-cost flu shots at CVS MinuteClinics), otherwise you can submit the cost for reimbursement. Make sure you get documentation in case you are requested to provide proof. There is a process for requesting exemptions for medical, disability or religious reasons. If you have any questions or concerns, including how this may affect your working conditions, please reach out by replying to this email.

COVID-19 Testing
Several weeks ago, we requested info from each campus about the availability of (asymptomatic) COVID-19 testing for UC employees, but UC has yet to reply. To date, we are only aware of UCSD offering on-demand asymptomatic testing for employees. We think that UC should provide access for all workers and students who are on campus to free and frequent testing, and we are actively advocating for that at the COVID effects bargaining table. If you encounter any issues with getting a COVID test, or have questions, please let us know.
