Dear Members,
We are pleased to announce that the Triennial Election of Joint Council and Executive Board officers for UAW Local 5810 is now complete. By a vote of 54 to 34, Antonio Gisbert of UC-San Diego is elected Vice President and joins our other elected officers in representing our union. There were no challenged ballots for this election. The Triennial Election was conducted under the supervision of the Elections Committee. We thank all the postdocs who cast votes representing all ten UC campuses. Our special thanks go to the postdocs and union staff who volunteered their time to oversee the polling stations during the voting.
With the conclusion of the Triennial Election, we have elected many new officers who will help to guide the union as we go forward. Together, we have continued to strengthen and build our union. While we still have many challenges to surmount, our Joint Council and Executive Board officers, with your continued support and participation, will continue to help the union grow even stronger.
