Support from Elected Officials
Numerous elected officials have supported our campaign for a first contract since we started bargaining. In winter 2010, a majority of Postdocs signed letters to their Congressional representatives asking them to urge UC President Yudof to reach agreement on a fair first contract that improves Postdoc salaries, benefits and rights. These letters from Postdocs led to a round of phone calls and letters from Congressional representatives to UC President Yudof.
