San Diego – Researcher Coffee hour @ School of Medicine (Grass area in front of Club Med and MTF)
Nov 14 @ 11:00 am

Bring your mug and grab some free coffee and cookies!

As Postdocs we negotiated our low-cost health plans through our union contract and in this open enrollment period we can now enroll Domestic Partners! Any changes you make need to be submitted by Nov. 20th, and will apply starting in January of 2018.

So if you have any questions come to our coffee hour, this is a great opportunity to get them answered, and share your experience with other Postdocs!

Irvine – AR General Meeting @ Biological Sciences III, Room 3120
Nov 14 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Please join us for our next Academic Researcher general meeting. We’ll discuss the results from our comprehensive bargaining survey and what improvements we want to see at UC. This conversation, and others like it across the state, will inform the drafting of our initial bargaining demands for our first union contract with UC.

Davis – Postdoc social and science café @ G Street Wunderbar
Nov 14 @ 5:30 pm

Come and join your fellow Postdocs at next week’s Davis Science Café where Professor Moshe Rosenberg will talk about the discovery and evolution of cheese. This will be a great opportunity to socialize with other scientists during and after the talk, and enjoy a drink from the bar.
