UAW 5810 strongly oppose the Trump administration’s blatantly xenophobic decision to end DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). This program allows undocumented immigrants who entered the United States as children to obtain temporary relief from deportation and the ability to work, and it has benefitted thousands of UC students and workers and many others across the US. The Postdoc Union will continue to do everything in our power to support all those whose lives have been thrown into tumult by this decision.

To that end, if you are impacted by the administration ending DACA, we urge you to call the union office at (510) 845-5726 or send an email to so that we can provide support or guidance.

When members of our community are under attack, it is essential that we are unified in taking action to resist and defeat anti-immigrant efforts. Please check the union website as well as 5810 Facebook and Twitter in the coming days for collective actions we can take to oppose the Trump administration’s decision to eliminate DACA.
