Sandra Koch, a Postdoc in neurobiology at UCLA, is facing a horrific case of retaliation in response to a pregnancy discrimination grievance that she filed last year. Will you please take a minute to sign our petition demanding that UCLA immediately stop this arbitrary and cruel action?
In the spring of 2017, Sandra informed her then-PI that she was pregnant and was told that she needed to leave the lab. Sandra worked with the union to negotiate a settlement that included switching labs to continue her research at UCLA. Sandra has fellowship funding and the support of her new PI, but UCLA Human Resources is now refusing to renew her appointment on July 1 in retaliation for daring to raise discrimination.
