Today at Noon: Visa/Immigration Updates and Strategy Session
Together with International Student/Scholar working groups at other UAW academic unions, we are hosting another online session for international scholars. Topics will include current immigration laws and University policies, and how to stay informed and involved in the upcoming academic year. Please RSVP and submit questions for the panelists here. It will also be streamed live on our Facebook page and recorded for viewing later.
Health and safety protections during wildfires
Massive wildfires sweeping through Northern California are threatening campuses and causing risks due to poor air quality and the fire itself. Please note that all Postdocs and ARs have contractual rights to a safe and healthy work environment. No one needs to report to campus or a field site when doing so would risk their health and safety, and supervisors should be flexible with work requirements during this time. If you have questions about your situation, need assistance, or need help enforcing your rights to health and safety, please respond to this email.
