UAW 5810 is a local union within the UAW International union. Every four years there is a UAW Constitutional Convention where union members from different employment sectors come together, vote on policies and resolutions, and elect the UAW International officers. The last Constitutional Convention was held in June 2018, and we will be holding a vacancy election, should there be interim conventions. The vacancies are listed below. 1) To be eligible to serve as a delegate to a Convention, a member must have been in continuous good standing in the UAW for twelve (12) months and shall have been a member of Local 5810 for 3 months immediately preceding the first day of the month in which the convention is held. 2) Delegates must be able to be physically present at Convention meetings, which may require significant travel. For reference, the last conventions were in Detroit, MI and Kansas City, MO.
